I want this poster on my wall in the very near future…. as soon as it’s not $80.
This is one of those songs where after the first couple of measures I knew I was gonna like it no matter how the rest of the song went. I can see it being in some montage in a romantic comedy with a sorrow-faced Ryan Reynolds or JGL as their trying to get the girl back.
I recently saw this film and this scene and the symphony music has stuck with me since. I don’t know much about cinematography but I have a feeling this would be classified as some pretty brilliant stuff. I guess that’s what makes Martin Scorsese, Martin Scorsese. I feel like it shows the side of a boxer that is graceful and elegant and not just a “raging bull” side. So yeah, that’s all I think I’ll say about this before I start thinking I’m Roger Ebert or something. It is a cool scene nonetheless.
